Coronavirus in India: All passenger trains have been cancelled till 31st March

Indian Railways has decided to cancel all passenger trains till 31st March in the country. Although goods trains will be running, all this is done due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in the County. The official notification regarding the cancellation of passenger trains will be released by Indian Railways very soon.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Indian Railways decided to cancel all passenger trains till the end of March (March 31st). According to the Indian Council of Medical Research said on Sunday, there are 341 confirmed cases of deadly coronavirus infection in India.

Today on Sunday, in a morning meeting Indian Railways decided to  stop the train services till 31st March. All the passenger trains will stand cancelled during this period, but good trains will be in normal operations. As per the decision the suburban trains and the Kolkata Metro services will run till tonight only.

This decision came after the detection of coronavirus cases in 12 passengers who travelled in trains between 13 and 16 March. There are reports of deaths due to Coronavirus 1 each from Bihar  and Mumbai, raising the total death count to 6 in the country.

Today millions of people across India are observing 14-hours sel-quarantine or  "Janata Curfew" recommended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Coronavirus outbreak in the world is already declared as pandemic by WHO and WHO is monitoring the situations around the world.

According to the health experts the growing cases of Coronavirus confirmed cases is an early state of outbreak as seen in other countries. On this account it becomes very important for the government to take proper measures to stop the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in the country.

Till now more than 350 people infected with coronavirus have been reported from India. While 2 more deaths have been reported in India.
