Moto G6 Plus with Smart Camera and Serious Performance Up for Sale in India

Moto G6 Plus is the latest addition to the list of smartphones that offer premium features at affordable cost.  The phone was launched in India on Tuesday after being unveiled globally in April at Brazil. Boasting some powerful configuration, the device seems to be an advanced sibling of Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play, which were launched in the market of India in June this year.  

Here is a sneak peek into the specifications of the Moto G6 Plus:

The Physical Overview:

The Moto G6 Plus features a full HD+ display of 5.93 inches with 18:9 aspect ratio and screen resolution of 1080x2160 pixels. The stylish body of the phone is also splash proof while the Max Vision display is ideal for watching videos and playing games. The display is Gorilla Glass 3 protected and the glass back of the phone lends it a premium look. There are dedicated microSD and two nano SIM slots in the tray embedded at the top alongside secondary noise cancellation microphone. The 3.5 mm headphone jack and the USB Type-C Port lie at the bottom, while the volume rockers and Power On/Off buttons lie on one side. The fingerprint sensor is set below the display panel and can be used to shut up the screen along with locking and unlocking of the home screen. The handset fits into the palm because of the curvaceous sides of the body.

The Optics:

On the imaging front, the Moto G6 Plus has a 16 MP front camera, in place of the 8MP shooter in the international variants. The selfie camera comes with flash and a wide-angle lens for group selfies. The dual-rear camera is the USP of the device and is accompanied the dual-tone dual-lens LED flash. The primary sensor is of 12 MP sporting a 78-degree lens and f/1.7 aperture, while the secondary 5 MP sensor has a 79 degree lens and f/2.2 aperture.

In terms of video capturing, the rear camera and front camera assure upto 4K Ultra HD and upto 1080p (30 fps) video capturing respectively. Both the dual camera setup and the selfie shooter promise to produce some fantastic outputs both outdoors and in artificial lighting. The smart optics also include face unlock and Google Lens for more than just shooting.

The Storage and Processor:

In the Indian variant of the Moto G6 Plus users gets a 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage support to deliver a great experience. Moreover, the device is enabled with microSD storage of upto 128 GB which is an add-on. The smartphone packs Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at a speed of 2.2 GHz and combines with Adreno 508 GPU to ensure terrific performance of various apps without lag on.

OS, Connectivity and Others:

The Moto G6 Plus runs on Stock User Interface based Android v8.0 (Oreo) that also promises an Android Pie update coming soon. The smartphone also supports USB OTG and has connectivity options like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, and GLONASS. The 3200 mAh battery also includes TurboPower charger claiming a 7 hrs life with a charge of 15 minutes. The Dolby Audio, presence of FM radio and 3 mics constitute the audio system of the phone. Apart from this, Moto Voice and Google Assistant are the two voice control systems enabled on this device.

Price and Availability: The Moto G6 Plus handset is listed in Indigo Black hue with a price tag of Rs. 22, 499 in India. The sale of the handsets started on Tuesday via Amazon.in, as well as, Moto Hubs and various retail partners of Motorola.
