Coronavirus in India: 63 new confirmed cases reported, India’s highest recorded cases, no of patients rise to 236

The coronavirus cases are rising fast in India, today 63 new cases were reported from various parts of the country. Till now total confirmed cases reached to 236 patients in India. Total of 4 people died in India due to coronavirus infection.

Today, the confirmed cases of the Coronavirus saw a sharp increase with 63 new cases in the country. In the wake of the increasing number of coronavirus infections, the central government told states to strictly enforce the social distancing in their state. Social distancing is very important in curbing the further spread of deadly coronavirus.

The states can invoke the Epidemic Diseases Act and Disaster Management Act, to take punitive action including imprisonment up to six months and/or find of Rs. 1,000 on the violators of the act.

The central government already issued a detailed advistory on the social distancing measures on  Monday. The social distancing will be used as a non-pharmaceutical measure to stop the spread of coronavirus disease.

In India, the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 rached to 236 on Friday, while there are 4 deaths in the country till now due to this infection. Today a  70-year-old Italian tourist died after recovering from Covid-19 and the government is not counting it as Covid-19 death. According to the authorities, a 70-year-old Italian tourist died due to a heart attack on Friday.

In Delhi, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is taking proper measures to stop the spread of deadly coronavirus. The DMRC advised people don’t use the metro if it is not necessary. If you have to go to the office then prepare for the tough measures. If you have fever or show any symptomptoms of Covid-19 infection, DMRC will refer you to quarantine from a Delhi Metro station.

To avoid any change of spread of coronavirus infection through the metro, DMRC will ensure that it would run metro with no standing passengers and with alternate seats left vacant. DMRC will take other measures to ensure no infection is spread through public transport.

“Any passenger who has symptoms similar to those infected by Covid–19 virus are strictly advised to avoid travel by the Metro or any other mode of public transport,” said the statement.

In a bid to stop the spread of deadly coronavirus Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called for a 'Janta curfew' from 7 am to 9 am on Sunday. PM urged the people of India not go out from home during 'Janta curfew' and stay at home, maintain avoid distancing and follow all the measures to stop the spread of deadly virus.

GoAir on Friday announced to voluntarily suspend all flights on March 22 when 'Janta curfew' will be in force throughout the country.

"GoAir will voluntarily suspend all flights on Sunday, March 22, in support of the Janta Curfew proposed by the Honorable Prime Minister," the airline said.

On the day of  'Janta curfew' no train will begin its journey from midnight to 10PM on Sunday. Due to this many trains have been cancelled. Trains already started before the said time will keep on running to their destination.
