Android is a mobile operating system based that is designed mainly for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Google has been working on its new operating system that is Android 11. Although, the new update was set to release this week but now has been postponed. This new operating system of Android turns no stone unturned when it comes to privacy and security developments.

736MB is the update size and the version number is RPB1.200504.01.

According to some leaks, it has been confirmed that there will be a quick settings media control available as a developer option.

By enabling this new setting under the Developer Options menu, apps like YouTube, Hungama, Gaana and spotify that usually generate notifications with media controls will now appear at a different dedicated spot in the quick settings menu. When minimized, this media option will appear in the left side of quick settings and when fully opened, it will cover the top of the phone. In simpler words, Android 11 will have a feature that separates the quick settings from notification panel. It is said that music controls can be included in the quick setting instead of notification panel.

When the status bar is pulled down, one will see a white line that indicates separation between both the modes. Swiping left will lead to notification panel whereas swiping right will lead to quick setting mode.

It is to be kept in mind that this mode will have to be enabled manually and does not come readily available in the default form.

This update was necessary according to Google as it will ‘clean’ the notification shade.

As of now, it is unknown whether it will only remain a part of developer options of Android or this feature will be given a proper launch when Android 11 launches.
