NEET Counselling (NEET UG 2024 Counselling) is the important process in getting the admission in the UG Medical seats in various medical colleges in the Country. The NEET UG 2024 Counselling process will select the candidates for medical seats. Students who qualify NEET exam are allotted seats in various medical and dental colleges across India based on their ranking in the exam. The NEET Counselling process is typically conducted in two phases:

1. All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling:

2. State Quota Counselling:

  1. States are also responsible for conducting counselling for 85% seats in the government and medical colleges
  2. States also conducts counselling for medical seats in private medical colleges
  3. The respective States conduct counselling in their state.
  4. Allocates 85% of the total seats in government medical and dental colleges of that state.
  5. Open to candidates domiciled in that particular state.

The counselling for All India Quota by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is done first in each phase followed by the state counselling in the same phase.

    4. System will use these information for seat allotment
  3. Seat Allotment:
    1. The next step is the seat allotment, which is an automated process.
    2. Seats are allotted based on your NEET rank, category, and choices filled.
    3. Students will receive an allotment letter if the seat is allotted to them.
  4. Reporting to College:
    1. Next step is to report to college and submit the required documents along with the fees.
    2. If allotted a seat, report to the allotted college within the specified time frame.

  5. Counselling Rounds:
    1. There are usually multiple rounds of counselling. Usually Counselling is completed in 4 rounds.

  1. NEET Admit Card - You should have the copy of your Admit Card.
  2. NEET Rank Card - Students should download the NEET Rank Card and save. You have to provide this to the authorities.
  3. Class 10 and 12 certificates - These certificates are required in original.
  4. Category certificate (if applicable) - You should produce the category certificate if applicable to you.
  5. Passport-sized photographs - The passport-size coloured photos are required.
  6. Other documents - Other documents like Aadar card/Pan card etc. also required as specified by the counselling authority.
