OPPO has launched its two new smartphones OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro in India at a starting price of Rs. 32,999. These two smartphones OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are powered with the  Dimensity 7300 energy chip, which is the latest chip for mobile devices. 

The OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro smartphones come with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display. The starting price of the mobile phone is Rs. 32,999, which is a mid range smartphone.  The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset comes with the integrated MediaTek's HyperEngine optimisations and the latest Arm Mali-G615 GPU. So, this chipset is good for playing latest games and watching videos.

The OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro smartphones are camera focus devices that come with a triple camera setup. These models are packed with tons of AI features for better user experience and performance.

Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro price

The Oppo Reno 12 is priced at Rs. 32,999 for the model with 8GB RAM/256GB storage, while the Reno 12 Pro is priced at Rs. 36,999 for the 12GB RAM/256 GB storage model. The price of the 12GB RAM/512GB storage model is kept at Rs. 40,999. These smartphones are expensive for the Indian market. The average buyer in India is looking for the models priced between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000.

Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro availability in India

Reno 12: The Reno 12 smartphone will be available in India starting from July 25th.

Reno 12 Pro: The Reno 12 Pro will be available in India starting from July 18th.

The OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro smartphones will be sold through Flipkart, Oppo's online store, and retail outlets.

These two new smartphones come with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels. Screen of OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro comes with  a peak brightness of 1200 nits, which is good to view in day time outside the home.  The Reno 12 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i while there is Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection in Reno 12 Pro.These specification makes these phones better for the users.

Both Reno 12 and 12 Pro are built using MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which is based on the 4nm process. The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip is paired with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU.

Operating System

Company used the latest Android 14 operating system with ColorOS 14.1 for the Reno 12 series devices. Company will provide 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches for these devices.

Camera

The main camera of Reno 12 consists of a triple camera setup, which includes  a 50MP Sony LYT 600 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. So, the main camera is powerful as this phone is a camera oriented smartphone. The front camera of Reno 12 includes a 32MP GC32E2 sensor shooter which can be used for taking selfies and video calls.

Sensor

The Reno 12 series features an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is good for accessibility.


Battery

The OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 Pro smartphones come with a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Company is promising four years of battery durability for long-term reliability.
