In the first week of July, Oppo F15 will release its 4GB variant for a price of anything below Rs 18,000.

Oppo F15 that previously, only offered a single variant of 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage; now is going to hit the market with a 4GB variant. However, internal storage would see no difference under this new variant.

Oppo F15 sports a 6.4 inch long Full HD+ screen with resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. The smartphone will offer an AMOLED display, screen-to-body ratio of 84.21 % and aspect ratio of 20:9. The weight of the device is 172 grams and its dimensions are 160.2x73.3x7.9mm.

The device will run on Android 9 pie based ColorOS 6.1.2 and will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 SoC processor and its graphics will be managed by Mali G-72 MP3.

The phone houses 128GB of internal storage that is expandable to 256GB via a SD card.

Oppo F15 will feature a quar rear camera set up with a primary camera of 48MP which offers an aperture of f/1.79. Second is an ultra wide camera that offers 8MP and f/2.25 aperture and two lenses of 2MP that lets users click portraits and monochrome snaps.

On the front lies a 16MP camera with an aperture of f/2.

For connectivity, the smartphone provides the users with Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. 

Sensor options include magnetometer, pedometer accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.

The idea behind introducing a 4GB variant was to make this phone pocket friendly for the masses. The original variant offered 3 colour choices- Unicorn White, Blazing Blue and Lightening Black.

Its unclear if the new variant will offer all three colour to its consumers. The new variant should release by the first week of July and it can be priced at anything under Rs 18,000.
