Nobel laureate V S Naipaul passes away at the age of 85 in his London residence. PM Modi and other political leaders condoled the demise of Nobel Laureate author V S Naipaul. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said "major loss to the world of literature".
Prime Minister posted his message on the micro blogger site Twitter and in his message he said "Sir VS Naipaul will be remembered for his extensive works, which covered diverse subjects ranging from history, culture, colonialism, politics and more. His passing away is a major loss to the world of literature. Condolences to his family and well wishers in this sad hour.".
V S Naipaul was Indian author and during his lifetime be wrote more than 30 books, which includes fiction and non-fiction.

President Ram Nath Kovind posted his condolence message on twitter "Sad to learn of the passing of V.S. Naipaul whose books are a penetrative exploration of faith, colonialism and the human condition, in his home in the Caribbean and beyond. A loss for the world of letters and for the broader school of Indo-Anglian literature,".
